Yes, my dear, you really can have it all. This multi-functional appliance will all but replace your regular oven in addition to two other appliances in your kitchen, saving you time and counter space. Shout out to Diana who asked me to research the best air fryer convection toaster ovens. I love anything multi-purpose and now, of course, I want one too (thanks a lot, D)!
I focused my research on the best air fryer convection toaster ovens that cost around $250 or less to stay within Diana’s budget. But I also included a couple that cost up to $300 because they were very highly recommended by testers and I wanted there to be options for everyone.
Overall, I included only the units with the best reviews, the most bells and whistles for the money, and that I would buy myself. Which, of course, I did. And after reading this, you’re going to want one too.
FYI, I use the terms oven, air fryer oven, air fryer toaster, etc. interchangeably throughout this post. But I am always referring to air fryer convection toaster ovens.

What Air Fryer Convection Toaster Ovens Do
Air fryer convection toast ovens will toast, bake, broil, defrost, and reheat faster than your regular toaster thanks to convection cooking. And most will air fry better than an air fryer pod and accommodate larger quantities, which is better for families (I have a friend who has two pods for this very reason – talk about hogging counter space). Furthermore, many of these models can also cook a rotisserie chicken, slow cook, proof bread, and have a dehydrator for making beef jerky, dried fruit, and even dog treats. Wow!
How They Work
Convection ovens and air fryers cook food faster than regular ovens by using one or more fans to circulate hot air. But air fryers work even faster and make food crispier due to the size and placement of their fans circulating blisteringly hot air around the food. The best part about air fryers is they produce crispy, fried-tasting foods with little to no oil.
Air Fryer Oven vs. Air Fryer Pod
Convenience – Why have a toaster oven AND an air fryer pod taking up counter space when you can have one appliance that does both?
Heating Elements – While both appliances use a fan to circulate hot air, toaster oven air fryers have heating elements both above and below the food (some also have heating elements in the back or all around). Pod-shaped air fryers have only one heating element.
Capacity & Cooking – Air fryer ovens can accommodate larger quantities of food than a pod. This larger capacity affords space to spread out food so it cooks evenly and is more uniformly browned and crispier. Furthermore, the ability to cook larger servings is more practical for families.
Functionality – Air fryer ovens offer more settings than pods for better cooking options. Plus, the ability to change rack positions gives you flexibility and improves cooking results.
Visibility – Air fryer ovens have a glass window so you can see the cooking progress. With a pod, you need to open the lid.
Versatility – Both appliances take up a fair amount of counter space but only a hybrid appliance like an air fryer toaster oven can also toast, bake, broil, etc. Some also have a dehydrating function and come with a rotisserie for roasting a whole chicken.
Features To Consider
Size – These multi-function devices have a larger footprint than a regular toaster. Some are large enough to fit a whole turkey! But not to worry, all of the units I recommend here fit under a standard kitchen cabinet and I’ve included a couple of compact ovens as well.
Size Warning – Most of these units have a rear exhaust vent that blows out very hot hair. So be sure to allow a couple of inches of space behind the oven when measuring where you intend to house it. If it’s placed too close to the wall or backsplash, it might leave a mark over time from heavy usage. A few reviewers said they pull their unit away from the wall when using it or simply keep it positioned a few inches from the wall or backsplash.
Controls – Dials vs. Digital – Based on my research, digital controls are preferred for more precise cooking but mechanical dials will save you money.
Accessories – In addition to the traditional toaster oven baking pan, air fryer convection toaster ovens include a basket for air frying and at least one adjustable wire rack. It’s recommended that the air fryer basket sits on or above the baking pan to catch dripping grease. Some air fryer ovens offer the option to buy additional wire racks and air fryer baskets so you can use more than one at a time. Some units also include rotisserie attachments.

The Best Standard Size Air Fryer Convection Toaster Ovens
Cuisinart Digital Air Fryer Toaster Oven (TOA-65) & Cuisinart Air Fryer Toaster Oven (TOA-60)
I’ve coupled these cousin air fryer ovens because they have many similarities.
Similarities: Both the TOA-60 and -65 are made of stainless steel, have a non-stick interior for easy clean up, feature an integrated timer, interior light, adjustable oven rack, come with an air fryer basket, bake pan, removable crumb tray, and a 3-year warranty.
Differences: For the extra money, the TOA-65 has a digital LCD display (vs. knobs), comes with preset buttons, is programmable, and includes rotisserie attachments. If those features are important to you, spend the extra $$ for the TOA-65.
Ratings: Both Cuisinart ovens were at the top of every best air-fryer-toaster-oven review I read. Reviewers of both models said they were easy to use and everything they cooked came out great.
Red Flags
- Several reviewers of the TOA-60 said the temperature controls are off. A few went so far as to purchase an oven thermometer to test the TOA-60 and found the controls off from 50 to 100 degrees. I suppose, over time, one would learn to adjust
- There was one negative comment about the TOA-60 that stuck with me; he said the knobs on his TOA-60 had melted (picture me making a cringe face). Not sure if he was a one-off because no one else mentioned that.
Size
- The TOA-65 is a hair smaller but 5 lbs heavier, not that you’re carrying it around: 15.8W x 14L x 14H and weighs 26 lbs
- The TOA-60 is 16W x 15.5L x 14H and weighs 21 lbs
Price
- The Cuisinart Digital Air Fryer Toaster Oven (TOA-65) comes in silver and costs $300 at Best Buy and $298 at Amazon. Prices fluctuate so check both merchant sites to be sure you’re getting the best price.
- The Cuisinart Air Fryer Toaster Oven (TOA-60) is available in silver ($230), black ($260) or white ($240) at Amazon.
Ninja Foodi 10-in-1 XL Pro Air Fryer Digital DT201
The Ninja Foodi Pro oven has a lot of nice features. For starters, it has a heating element in the back of the unit by the fan, in addition to heating elements at the top and bottom. It also has 4 tray heights and the presets will tell you what tray position to use based on what you’re cooking.
Other noteworthy features are you can change the time and temp settings at any time during the cooking process, not an option with all ovens. The Ninja also has 4 separate convection fan settings (maximum, high, medium, and low), which automatically match the chosen food function.
The Ninja DT201 comes with an air fryer basket, 2 wire racks, 2 non-stick sheet pans, a non-stick roast tray, and a removable crumb tray. Reviewers found the enclosed Owner’s Guide detailed and informative, and they really liked the included insert about Rack Usage and Two-Level Cooking, Tips and Tricks, as well as the 15 Recipe Book with charts for generalized cooking of meats and veggies.
Red Flags
While people found the LED touch controls intuitive to use, they are located on the front of the pull-down door handle. I see this as a potential issue depending on where you plan to keep this appliance.
While reading about the DT201, I wondered if the preset buttons got accidentally pushed when opening and closing the door to check the food. I searched the questions and comments but didn’t find any mention of it. So it might not be an issue.
I noticed the door handle on this oven sticks out at least 2″ from the oven door. Reviewers confirmed my suspicion that if you are not able to place this unit where the door handle will hang over the edge of your kitchen counter when it’s open, it will not lay flat – see photo below.
This design flaw hinders your ability to get a rack or tray in and out from the lowest position. It’s unfortunate that Ninja didn’t make the feet the same height as the door handle or move the controls elsewhere so they could have made the handle shallower, which would allow the door to lay flat when open.
Ratings: The Ninja DT201 has great reviews across the board. It has a 4.6-star rating on Amazon from over 11,000 reviewers and almost 1,000 reviewers at Best Buy.
Size: 20.2 W x 17L x 13.3H and weighs 33.6 lbs
Price: The Ninja DT201 is on sale for $300 (reg $330) at Amazon and $307 (reg $330) at Best Buy. Prices change so check both merchant sites to be sure you’re getting the best price.
COSORI 12-in-1 Air Fryer Toaster Combo – 26 Qt (CS100-AO)
Cosori makes a lot of air fryers, so they know what they’re doing now that they’re making air fryer toaster ovens as well. This versatile oven has 12 present functions (including dehydrate, ferment and slow cook), 6 heating elements (4 high and 2 low), 3 tray positions (each position nicely labeled on the glass door to guide which position to use based on what you’re cooking), a select and save function so you can save your favorite settings, interior light, and an easy to read LED display and controls across the top.
The Cosori CS100 has a non-stick interior and comes with an air fryer basket, non-stick baking pan, adjustable rack, and removable crumb tray. It also comes with a free app you can download on your smartphone that enables you to set the timer, temperature, browse recipes, and get notifications about your cooking process. In addition, you can sync this smart oven with your Alexa, if you have one, so you can be hands-free and tell Alexa to turn the oven on or off, set the timer, temperature, and keep tabs your cooking. (I love bossing Alexa.)
Ratings: 4.6-stars from over 7,400 reviews on Amazon
Size: 16.9W x 16.3L x 15.5H, weighs 22 lbs
Price: The best price is at Amazon where the black costs $150 and the silver is $160 less a $20 off coupon, making the silver $140.
COSORI 12-in-1 Air Fryer Toaster Combo – 32 Qt (CO130-AO)
The larger Cosori, model CO130-AO has an LED display and controls to the right of the oven door; instead of across the top, like the CS100-AO. Aside from the size, the only differences are the CO130-AO has 5 heating elements instead of 6 and it comes with rotisserie attachments.
I bought the Cosori after writing this post and my family loves it. This photo of it in my kitchen will give you a sense of its size and how much counter space it takes up.
Ratings: 4.5-star rating from over 10,000 reviewers
Size: The CO130 measures 22.1 x 16.5 x 12.1, weighs 27.3 lb
Price: The best price is $200 less a $20 off coupon, making it $180 on Amazon.
FYI: The Cosori CO130-AO is available with or without the “smart oven” feature, so be mindful of what you order if this feature is important to you.
The Best Compact Air Fryer Convection Toaster Oven
If space is an issue, you have options:
Ninja Foodi 8-in-1 Digital Air Fry Oven (SP101)
In addition to rave reviews, the Ninja Foodi SP101 boasts an extra-large capacity in a compact unit. It can fit a 13” pizza, 6 chicken breasts or 9 slices of toast! Just keep in mind that you won’t be making a rotisserie chicken in this unit since it’s only 7.5” high.
The Ninja SP101’s most unique feature is it’s designed to FLIP up vertically against your backsplash when not in use. This saves you counter space and makes for easy cleaning as the back panel (really the bottom of the oven) opens for access to the oven’s interior. So clever!
In addition to all the usual air fryer oven features, the SP101 has a dehydrator, a “keep warm” setting, a 60-second preheat, and is programmable. It comes with a 13×13 air fry basket, bake pan, wire rack, removable crumb tray, and recipe book.
Size: 19.7W x 15.1D x 7.5H, weighs 15.7 lbs
Price: On sale for $150 (reg $240) at Amazon and Best Buy. Prices fluctuate so check both merchant sites to be sure you’re getting the best price.
Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer 360
I’m not usually a fan of products that celebrities put their names on, but this one caught my eye because of its size, features and rave reviews. My mom bought this one and loves it.
This unit has some really smart features: For starters, it has 5 heating elements, hence the 360-all around cooking. There are 12 one-touch preset functions or you can choose your own cooking time and temp. A cooking memory feature remembers the last time and temp you used, it will slow cook for up to 10 hours, has a dehydrator setting, and auto shut-off.
The Power Air Fryer 360 comes with the standard air fryer basket, baking pan, rack, crumb tray, and rotisserie. Emeril claims you can fit 6 bagels or slices of bread, a 12” pizza, 10 lb chicken or a 4.5-qt Dutch oven for family-sized slow cooking.
Ratings: 4.4-star rating from over 14,000 reviewers.
Size: 19.5W x 11.5D x 10.5H, weighs 18.5 lbs
Price: $163 on Amazon and it includes 2 wire racks, 3 air fryer baskets, a banking pan, a removable crumb tray, and rotisserie accessories.
Note: There is a larger, family-sized one called the Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer 360 Max XL that is 15.6 x 19.7 x 13H and claims it can accommodate a 14 lb turkey at Amazon for $249.
Conclusion
I would buy any of the air fryer convection toaster ovens listed above. The one that is best for you will be the model that fits your space and budget, and has all the functions and accessories you want. After researching these versatile appliances, I must have one! As I made dinner the last few nights, I couldn’t help but fantasize about how everything I was cooking could go in the air fryer oven I’m going to buy. I’m going to measure the space where my toaster is and see which of these air fryer ovens will fit best in its place.
Update
I bought the larger Cosori, model CO130-AO, and my family loves it. My mom went with the compact Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer 360 since she has limited space and she loves it.
Please let me know if you have an air fryer convection toaster oven you love and would recommend. Or LMK if you get one of the above recommendations.
